Father’s Day: TOY DISSECTION Workshop
Celebrate Father’s Day at our lab for a Toy Dissection! We’ll discover what makes toys move, which components make noise, and how they light up by taking them apart!
Each family will receive a special toy dissection tool kit that they can use to explore the inner mechanisms and circuitry of their toy. After a bit of exploration, we will then take the different components you have discovered and reuse/remix them to create new and wholly original playthings!
This workshop is a great way for adults and kids to collaborate, discover familiar objects in unfamiliar ways, and conduct scientific, artistic and technological explorations.
We provide the tools, materials, expertise and snacks! You bring your imagination!
As our way of saying Thank You to our community, we’ll be partnering with a HollandBloorview, Canada’s largest children’s rehabilitation hospital, dedicated to being at the forefront of clinical care, research and education. Proceeds from your ticket will go toward this incredible center.
