Entomology 101: Scorpions
We are partnering with anatomist, Jeremy Johnson, to bring you an Insect Mounting Workshop,, featuring the Asian Blue Forest Scorpions (or Heterometrus laoticus). These scorpions are huge (some measuring over 7 inches with their tails).
In this workshop, we will cover techniques of preserving and mounting insect specimens that will prepare you for the unlimited possibilities of entomological preservation.
Each participant will be able to mount these specimens either dynamically in a habitat or in a symmetrical pose under glass and then take home their projects home to wow and amaze family and friends.
