Dynamic Science and Art Educator

Responsibilities: 

  • Teaching programs to toddlers, kids, youth and adults (classes, camps and workshops)

  • Instructing classes in our space and on location

  • curriculum development such as brainstorming lesson plans in STEAM subjects (science, technology, engineering, art and math)

  • Preparing teaching materials

  • Working alongside staff and volunteers

  • Communicating with clients

Qualifications:

  • Several years experience working with toddlers, children and/or youth in educational settings

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills

  • Confident presenting to a large group

  • Strong classroom management skill

  • High energy and strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently

  • Critical thinking skills, stress tolerance, flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to take initiative

  • Excellent customer service skills to liaison and communicate with children, parents and customers effectively

  • Commitment to the position as we are looking for team members who want to grow in their careers and grow within this business

Bonus:

  • Bachelor of Education, Masters of Education, Early Childhood Education or degrees in Fine Art or Science

  • Experience leading kids in an experiential learning setting such as school, summer camp, and museums

  • Have access to car

  • Valid driver’s license

  • First aid training

  • Police reference clearance
